After Breakfast drive from Arusha with packed lunches to Tarangire National Park for a full day Game Drive. Tarangire National Park is 115 km south of Arusha. The name of the park comes from Tarangire River, which is the only source of water for wild animals during dry the season. Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest National Park in Tanzania and very beautiful with a lot of herds of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. During the dry season the concentration of animals around the Tarangire River is almost as diverse and reliable as in the Ngorongoro Crater. In the evening you will depart from the Tarangire National Park to the Karatu area for dinner and overnight at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.
After Breakfast at the Lodge, depart with a packed lunch to Lake Manyara National Park. where we will do a game drive in the morning and afternoon. Lake Manyara is known for its breathtaking panoramic views, waterfalls, babbling brooks with clear water and hot springs. Lake Manyara National Park is located between the rocks of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara. The beauty of this park is partly due to a large variety of wildlife, grasslands, forests and water. Lake Manyara has one of the largest populations of water birds, over 400 species, including flamingos and pelicans. But also, large herds of elephants, giraffes, hippos, water buffalos and of course the impalas. In the evening depart from the park to the Bougainvillea Safari Lodge for Dinner and overnight.
After breakfast depart with packed lunches and drive to Serengeti National Park for game viewing. In the evening drive to the Baobab Camp in Central Serengeti for Dinner and overnight.
Full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game viewing drive in the park. The Serengeti National Park has 6900 sq. mile park is inhabited by more than 1.5 million wildebeest, 250,000 thousand zebra, and in the region of 500,000 gazelle. January to April is the season when the wildebeest calve with upwards of a half million young being born. Large predators including lion, cheetah, and hyena, are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey. Many smaller animals such as rock hyrax, bat-eared fox, mongoose, honey badger, jackal, monkey, baboon, and African hare, also here inhabit along with nearly 500 species of birds. After our game drive, we return to the Baobab Camp for Dinner and Overnight.
After breakfast depart with packed lunches to drive from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro and descend to the floor of the crater for game-viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World. Ngorongoro Crater inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater hosts the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like a stream, full of flamingos, with forest and open plains spreading out before our eyes. The large bull elephants that reside here, have extremely large tusks due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. A conservation area is also inhabited by the Masai tribe. As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner. All meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.
Day 07 : Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar
After breakfast, you will be transferred from Ngorongoro to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar for your three days of relaxation. you will be met at the Zanzibar Airport and transferred to Kendwa Rocks Beach Resort where you have been booked on Bed & Breakfast.
You can take some rest and enjoy this paradise made of beautiful beaches of white sand and turquoise water of the Indian Ocean. Optional activities at an extra cost: such as a day tour in Stone Town (includes Old Town guided tour, Spice Tour, and Prison Island), half-day tour (includes Old Town guided tour or Spice Tour or Prison Island). Another suggestion is the Jozani Forest tour.
