After breakfast drive through the Great Rift Valley as you travel to the land of the Maasai—the Masai Mara. One unique, spectacular, and memorable sight is the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebra that happens mid-year between July and September. Arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch, after which you will go for your first-afternoon game drive. Keep an eye out for Africa's Big Five. Head back to the Lodge before sunset. After breakfast leave for a full day game drive with picnic lunch at Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This day is spent game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Our morning and afternoon game drives takes us in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled Air Kenya/Or any available flight departing at around 0900hrs to Kogatende Airstrip in North Serengeti. Met by your Safari driver guide and drive to the Camp for lunch. After lunch embark on an evening game viewing drive. Meals and overnight at Baobab Mara Camp in Northern Serengeti. Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner Accommodations: Baobab Mara Camp.
After breakfast, depart with packed lunches, you will go for a full game viewing in the northern Serengeti also known as Kogatende. The migrating herds of wildebeest and zebra are found in northern Serengeti from July to October. If you’re lucky enough, this is the best place to witness the wildebeests crossing the Mara River and the hungry crocodiles hunting their prey. After lunch and more game drives, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay. Meals: Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner Accommodations: Baobab Mara Camp.
You will have full day to the northern part of Serengeti (where the migration should be in August/October) near the Mara River in the hopes of seeing some of the migratory crossing. The endless plains of Serengeti are also the setting for the world’s greatest wildlife spectacle – the 1.5 million wildebeest endless migration in search for fresh pastures. Each year they trek over 2,500km and are constantly threatened and followed by some of Africa’s greatest predators. Depending on the time of your visit, your driver guide will be able to share with you where the herd’s current location is at northern Serengeti. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Lake Manyara Airstrip. Met on arrival at the Airstrip and transferred to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. You will later go to Mto wa Mbu area where you will visit the Maasai Village immerse yourself in a cultural experience as you meet with the Maasai Tribe, you will also get to taste local lunch. After an early breakfast depart from the Lodge, Descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masai tribe. Picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites on the crater floor. As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner. After breakfast, prepare for check-out from your Lodge and drive to Arusha Town for Lunch and Later you will be dropped at Kilimanjaro Airport.
