Hike on Ngong Hills

The Ngong Hills are seven green, knuckle-shaped hills in a row, and they are famous from the movie Out of Africa. The hike here usually takes four to five hours and takes you up and down all the seven hills, from gate to gate. The highest peak has an altitude of 2,460 meters, which means overall you enjoy some great views. Look out over Nairobi National Park 15 kilometers to the east, enjoy Nairobi city views to the northeast, and observe the Maasai huts (manyattas) 1,000 meters down in the valley. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter some buffalos!
